The Blackout editions were an exercise in restraint—reimagining one of Zodiac's most recognizable dive watches through a darker, more cinematic lens. Finished in black-on-black coatings with subtle hits of color and produced in extremely limited quantities, the collection blended the brand's tool-watch heritage with a more contemporary and collectible point of view.
Much of the creative direction was inspired by the opening title sequence from David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, with its dark atmosphere, liquid textures, and high-contrast visual language. That influence shaped the campaign imagery, creating a mood that felt both mysterious and modern while reinforcing the stealth aesthetic of the watches themselves.
